For its home Italian Grand Prix, Ferrari ran its cars in a special livery inspired by the legendary Michael Schumacher – a gesture to the seven-time world champion, whose name is inseparably linked to the team’s history at the Monza circuit in particular. The tribute design sparked a wave of emotion among the tifosi, gathered at the track in huge numbers.

The tribute wasn’t limited to the cars’ livery – Sebastian Vettel took part in a demonstration run in a classic Ferrari model, adding to the celebratory atmosphere surrounding the anniversary. For the Italian crowd, gestures like this always carry special meaning, and the mix of nostalgia and hope for a strong race performance made the Monza weekend feel even more special than usual.

Beyond the symbolism, though, the team still had to show on track that the occasion lived up to the fans’ expectations – a fight for positions and points, which remains the main goal of every weekend on the calendar.
