Joshua Duerksen completed a full sweep of results at Monza, winning both the sprint and the feature race of the Formula 2 round – a record eighth career victory for him, and his fourth of the 2026 season. His Invicta Racing teammate Rafael Camara finished second after a fierce battle between the two in the opening laps, in which the lead changed hands several times at Turn 1.

Camara managed to close the gap to just 0.3 seconds in the closing laps, but couldn’t find a way past his teammate before the chequered flag. Noel León finished third, followed by John Bennett and Ritomo Miyata.

For championship leader Nikola Tsolov, the race carried some tension – on lap 20, at the exit of the second chicane, there was light contact between him and Martinius Stenshorne, which cost the Norwegian the end plate of his front wing. The Bulgarian held his position and finished ninth, keeping the championship lead with a current tally of 177 points.

The race was interrupted by a safety car after Colton Herta spun into the gravel trap at the Parabolica on lap 16. Duerksen handled the restart confidently, while overly aggressive defending from Alex Dunne caused his tyres to lock up and cost him a position to León.

Camara’s strong result significantly narrows the gap at the top of the standings – he’s now second, 11 points behind Tsolov, while Gabriele Mini remains third, 30 points off the lead after missing out on points at Monza, effectively taking him out of the real title fight.
