The Red Bull driver struggled with the car from practice, and a power unit failure ended his Sprint.
Isack Hadjar called his Singapore weekend a disaster, and the problems built up across the sessions. In the only practice session, he complained that the car was bottoming under braking and that the throttle pedal did not feel right.
Hadjar failed to set a valid time in the final part of Sprint Qualifying after his lap was deleted for exceeding track limits. A power unit problem then ended his Sprint on lap three.
He started the Grand Prix from the pit lane and managed to recover to a points finish, but that could not erase the difficulties of the weekend. Red Bull now needs to understand why its second car was so unpredictable and give Hadjar a cleaner run in Austin.
