Ferrari Junior Rafael Camara Shines in Haas Test at Portimao
Camara reportedly set the fastest time among three rookie drivers at Haas’ private Portimao test, outpacing fellow Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman as pressure mounts on Esteban Ocon’s 2027 seat.

Rafael Camara, the young talent from Ferrari’s academy, made a strong impression during a private Haas test at the Portimao circuit, reportedly setting the fastest time among the three rookie drivers taking part in the session, according to foreign media – beating out fellow Ferrari junior Oliver Bearman in the process.
The test comes at a time of growing pressure on Esteban Ocon, whose seat with the team for 2027 no longer looks secure. Ferrari officially backs Camara’s ambitions for a Formula 1 seat next year, and the partnership between the two teams over the Scuderia’s young talents is already an open secret in the paddock.
The strong results from Portimao only fuel speculation that Ocon’s seat at Haas could be called into question, if the Brazilian keeps convincing the team’s management that he’s ready for the step up.
