Camara Takes Pole at 1:31.326 in Monza, Tsolov Sixth Despite Leading the Standings
Invicta Racing locked out the front row at Monza with Rafael Camara on pole ahead of Joshua Duerksen, while championship leader Nikola Tsolov could only manage sixth in his Campos Racing car.

Qualifying for the Formula 2 round at Monza produced a clear one-two for the Invicta Racing team, while championship leader Nikola Tsolov was left outside the top five.
Rafael Camara set pole position with a time of 1:31.326, beating teammate Joshua Duerksen by less than a tenth of a second and giving Invicta a lockout of the front row of the grid.
Rodin Motorsport’s Alex Dunne, who had been fastest in practice ahead of qualifying, couldn’t carry that pace into the decisive session after a series of tyre lock-ups prevented him from putting together a competitive final attempt, leaving him third.
Nikola Tsolov, who goes into the weekend as championship leader, qualified his Campos Racing car sixth with a time of 1:31.736 – a result that leaves him outside the top three despite his strong form this season. The Bulgarian was running in a separate group from the fastest contenders in the closing minutes of the session, which limited his chances of improving.
The sprint race is scheduled for Saturday at 14:15 local time, and because of the reversed grid order, John Bennett will start the sprint from pole position.
