Hamilton Felt Unwell After Singapore GP, Ferrari Confirms — Skipped Media Pen for a Medical Check

While Max Verstappen celebrated and Antonelli edged a step closer to the title, there was a more worrying story brewing in the Ferrari garage. “After the race, Lewis felt unwell and has been seen by the FIA medical team,” the team said in a brief statement, with the FIA excusing the seven-time champion from his mandatory media pen duties.

The race itself hadn’t done his mood any favours — Hamilton took the blame for an incorrect strategy call that left him on worn tyres, sliding from third to sixth in the closing laps as Antonelli, Norris and Piastri went by in quick succession.

It’s not the first time Marina Bay has done a number on him physically, either — back in 2024, while still at Mercedes, both Hamilton and George Russell felt unwell after the race in Singapore’s notoriously brutal heat and humidity. Whether it’s fatigue, dehydration, or simply the cocktail of disappointment and 30-degree humidity, Ferrari isn’t saying for now — but Maranello clearly has two headaches tonight, one strategic and one rather more literal.
